PM Youth Laptop Scheme 2026: Phase 4 & 5 Online Registration, Merit List & Eligibility



The Government of Pakistan has officially announced the much-awaited Prime Minister Youth Laptop Scheme 2026 (Phase 4 & 5). Under this initiative, thousands of high-specification laptops will be distributed among talented students of public sector universities across Pakistan, AJK, and Gilgit-Baltistan.

If you are a student currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program, this is your chance to get a free laptop to support your digital learning and freelancing journey. Below is everything you need to know about the application process.


1. Eligibility Criteria for 2026

To be eligible for a free laptop, students must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Enrollment: Must be a regular student in a Public Sector University recognized by HEC.

  • Degree Programs: Students of 4-year Bachelor’s, 2-year Master’s, and PhD programs.

  • Academic Record: Minimum 60% marks in the last exam or a CGPA of 2.5 and above.

  • Exclusions: Students who have already received a laptop in previous phases or those from private sector universities are not eligible.


2. Required Documents for Online Apply

Before starting the application on the PMYP portal, keep these documents ready:

  • CNIC or B-Form Number.

  • Last Semester Result Intimation / DMC.

  • University Enrollment/Registration Number.

  • Active Mobile Number and Email Address (for OTP verification).


3. Step-by-Step Application Process

  1. Visit the official PM Youth Program portal: laptop.pmyp.gov.pk.

  2. Click on the "Apply Now" button.

  3. Enter your CNIC number and verify the captcha.

  4. Fill in your personal details and academic information (University name, Department, Degree).

  5. Verify your mobile number and email via OTP.

  6. Review your application and click Submit.

Tip: Ensure your CGPA/Percentage is entered accurately as it will be cross-checked by your University Focal Person for the merit list.


4. How to Check the Merit List?

Once the registration deadline passes, HEC will share the data with universities for verification. The final merit list will be uploaded on the portal. You can check your status by entering your CNIC in the "Search Eligibility" section on the PMYP website.
